Upper Michigan – This week’s weather in Marquette will kick off with calm, sunny conditions before a shift to rain and gusty winds midweek. Residents should prepare for wet weather Wednesday night through Thursday, with clear conditions expected to resume by Friday.

According to the U.S. National Weather Service in Marquette, high pressure will dominate the region through Wednesday, bringing mostly sunny skies and highs around 45 degrees today. However, conditions will change as a low-pressure system approaches from the Plains, bringing a 60% chance of showers starting Wednesday night and lasting through Thursday afternoon. South winds could reach up to 30 mph Wednesday, creating breezy conditions ahead of the rainfall.

Wednesday’s daytime temperatures will peak around 47 degrees, with a chance of rain beginning in the evening. The rainfall is expected to continue into Thursday morning, when highs will hover around 47 degrees. Wind gusts could reach 25 mph, making conditions blustery for commuters and those traveling in the area.

By Thursday night, clouds will begin to clear, and drier weather will return. Friday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high of 48 degrees, and calm winds. For the weekend, Saturday looks partly sunny with a high near 51 degrees, though a slight chance of showers may develop Saturday night.

Local residents should keep an eye on weather updates, especially if planning outdoor activities Wednesday night through Thursday. For ongoing weather alerts, stay tuned to the National Weather Service updates and local advisories.
