According to the US National Weather Service Detroit, the severe weather is expected to develop as a cold front moves across the region. The highest confidence of storm activity resides along the I-94 corridor and locations south, with storms moving southeast at 40 MPH. The forecast predicts that the severe threat will diminish by Monday night, although widespread rain and some elevated thunderstorms may continue into Tuesday morning.
Key threats associated with this weather system include large hail up to 1 inch in diameter, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes.
