La Porte, IN — A Michigan man died Tuesday morning in a fatal crash on County Road 800 North, according to local authorities. La Porte County deputies responded at 9:21 a.m. to the 4500 block, where a vehicle had veered off the roadway and struck several trees.
A green 2012 Chevrolet pickup driven by Craig A. Raas, 48, of Three Oaks, Michigan, was traveling eastbound when it crossed the centerline. The truck left the road, struck a tree, rolled over, and collided with more trees before coming to a stop. Deputies pronounced Raas dead at the scene.
Toxicology test results are still pending. No other information has been released as of yet.
