Miami, Fla. – South Florida residents will face another hot and humid day Tuesday, with temperatures climbing into the low 90s and scattered thunderstorms possible late this afternoon and evening. Heat index values could reach as high as 105, making outdoor activity uncomfortable and potentially dangerous during peak hours.

According to the National Weather Service in Miami, morning conditions remain mostly dry with light winds, but developing sea breezes will trigger showers and storms after 3 p.m. The highest rain chances are expected inland near Palmdale, Immokalee, and Clewiston, where odds range from 57 to 67 percent. Coastal cities including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach face lower chances, between 27 and 44 percent.

Drivers should plan for brief downpours, lightning, and reduced visibility on I-95, I-75, and the Florida Turnpike this evening. Outdoor events and late commutes could see delays if storms intensify. Residents are advised to stay hydrated, limit strenuous activity in the heat, and seek shelter quickly if thunder is heard.

The unsettled pattern continues through midweek, with daily thunderstorm chances persisting across South Florida.
