Miami, FL – Scattered thunderstorms with the potential for small hail and gusty winds are expected to impact parts of South Florida this afternoon and evening, with the greatest risk centered around Miami and the southeastern corridor.

According to the National Weather Service Miami, a marginal risk exists for severe thunderstorms across southeastern Florida on Tuesday, March 25, particularly in areas near Lake Okeechobee and the eastern metro region. The storms may include brief periods of heavy rainfall, isolated lightning strikes, and wind gusts strong enough to cause localized power outages or minor damage.

The probability for severe hail and wind stands between 5% and 14%, which qualifies as a “marginal risk” under NOAA’s classification system. Cities including West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Naples, and Belle Glade may also experience storm impacts.

Residents are advised to secure outdoor objects, stay indoors during storm activity, and monitor NOAA Weather Radio or weather.gov/miami for real-time updates. Motorists should exercise caution during heavy downpours and remain alert to sudden changes in weather conditions through early evening hours.
