Miami, FL – Miami residents should brace for scattered thunderstorms and extreme heat today as South Florida faces a Heat Advisory. The National Weather Service (NWS) Miami has issued the advisory from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

Forecasters expect weak atmospheric flow to create slow-moving storms, which could trigger localized flooding. Temperatures will climb to 90 to 93 degrees across the region, with Palmdale, Clewiston, and West Palm Beach likely hitting 91 degrees. Immokalee may reach 93 degrees.

The NWS advises residents to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities, and monitor forecasts closely. In flood-prone areas, prepare for possible water accumulation. Rain chances vary, with Palmdale at 81% and Miami at 49%.

These conditions could persist throughout the day, making it essential for residents to exercise caution.
