Oregon’s Rogue Valley is soaked this morning, with steady rain falling across Medford and water pooling along neighborhood streets. Small creeks are running higher, and low spots near Bear Creek look especially saturated. If you’re heading out, watch for standing water and slow down on wet pavement.

According to the National Weather Service in Medford, a Flood Watch remains in effect through Wednesday evening for Jackson, Josephine, Curry, Coos and surrounding counties. Rain continues through early afternoon with highs near 54 degrees. Additional rainfall between a quarter and half inch is possible today, with snowmelt in higher terrain adding to runoff.

Streams and small rivers may rise quickly, especially where melting snow feeds into creeks. Urban drainage areas could see minor flooding. Avoid driving through water-covered roads, particularly near underpasses and rural crossings. Conditions may change rapidly during heavier showers.

Rain remains likely into tonight, then coverage decreases Wednesday with only a slight chance of lingering showers before late morning. Highs Wednesday stay near 52. By Wednesday night, skies clear and temperatures drop into the lower 30s.

That clearing sets up a frost risk by early Thursday. Any leftover moisture could refreeze on bridges and untreated roads before sunrise. This is the time of year when flash freezing catches drivers off guard.

Thursday turns partly sunny with highs near 57. Friday warms further into the lower 60s, hinting at Spring Warmth returning to southern Oregon. The 6–10 day outlook leans milder overall into early next week.
