Baltimore, MD – Blustery conditions are gripping Maryland today, with gusts up to 30 mph making 31°F temperatures feel even colder. By Saturday, milder conditions will begin to emerge, leading to a warming trend that continues through the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s high will reach only 40°F under mostly sunny skies. Northwest winds will continue at 10-13 mph, with gusts near 23 mph. Tonight, temperatures will plummet to 27°F, with calming winds after sunset. Drivers along the I-95 corridor should take extra precautions as strong crosswinds may impact vehicles, particularly high-profile trucks.

Saturday will see a slight improvement, with highs around 42°F and lighter winds from the west. Overnight temperatures will dip to 33°F under mostly cloudy skies. By Sunday, a shift in the jet stream will bring milder Pacific air, raising highs to 54°F. Residents planning outdoor activities should take advantage of Sunday’s warm-up as rain returns Monday.

A stronger weather system is set to arrive Monday with heavy rain and highs near 55°F. Areas west of Baltimore, particularly at higher elevations, could experience mountain snow. Rain is expected to continue into Tuesday, with a 40% chance of showers.
