Winds will become more active by Sunday afternoon, with gusts up to 22 mph in some locations. Thunderstorms are possible after 2 a.m. Sunday night, with scattered showers impacting northern and western parts of the state. Temperatures will cool significantly overnight, with lows around 61°F.
Residents should prepare for cooler and breezier conditions starting Monday. Temperatures are expected to dip to the low 60s, with stronger gusts and lingering clouds. Those traveling along I-95 or near the Shenandoah Valley should be mindful of changing weather conditions late Sunday into Monday.
