Baltimore, MD – A cold and blustery day is expected across Maryland on Friday, with lingering morning snow showers along the Allegheny Front, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) Baltimore/Washington.
According to the NWS, temperatures will range from the low 30s to low 40s across the region, with mountain highs between 16-32°F. Northwest winds will remain gusty at 25-40 mph, making conditions feel even colder.
However, a gradual warm-up is expected over the weekend. Saturday will bring sunshine and lighter winds, with highs between 38-45°F. By Sunday, temperatures will rise slightly to 43-51°F, with a few more clouds in the sky.
Monday will mark a shift to above-normal temperatures, with highs ranging from 49-58°F. A moisture-starved frontal system will move through on Tuesday, keeping temperatures mild but bringing a chance of showers in the Alleghenies. By Wednesday, clouds will increase, and overnight rain showers will be possible, with highs in the low 50s.
