Chicago, IL – After a final cold night Friday, Illinois will see a warming trend into next week, bringing rain chances by Monday and Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service Chicago, temperatures will gradually rise over the weekend, with highs reaching the mid-40s by Monday. Along with the milder temperatures, a chance of rain is expected to develop, especially south of Interstate 80. Rain showers may persist into Tuesday as temperatures remain above freezing.

While no severe weather is currently expected, residents should prepare for wet conditions early in the week. Rainfall totals are still uncertain, but motorists should be cautious of slick roads, particularly in the mornings when temperatures may still be near freezing.
