Baltimore, MD – Maryland residents can expect a frigid end to the weekend, with highs barely reaching the 40s on Sunday. Those in the Allegheny Mountains should prepare for light snow showers, while overnight temperatures across the state will plunge into the 20s.
According to the National Weather Service, a cold pattern will persist throughout the weekend, with a chance of snow showers developing Sunday afternoon, particularly west of Hagerstown and Frostburg. Motorists on I-68 and U.S. 40 should be cautious of possible slick conditions as temperatures remain below freezing in higher elevations.
By Monday, Baltimore and the surrounding areas will see sunny skies with highs near 40, but the overnight chill will continue, dropping to the upper 20s. Commuters and outdoor workers should dress warmly, as wind gusts of up to 24 mph will make conditions feel even colder.
Tuesday and Wednesday will bring slight relief, with highs in the mid-40s and mostly sunny skies. However, nights will remain bitterly cold, with lows in the upper 20s. A chance of light snow showers returns late Wednesday in western Maryland, potentially impacting travel into Thursday.
Stay updated with local forecasts and prepare for winter weather. Bundle up, and ensure vehicles are equipped for cold conditions, especially in higher elevations.
