According to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington, high pressure will remain in control through Friday, bringing mostly sunny skies, low humidity, and light winds across the region. High temperatures today will range from 70 to 87 degrees, depending on elevation, with mountain communities staying cooler while urban areas, including Baltimore and Washington, D.C., reach the upper 80s. Overnight lows will fall between 54 and 68 degrees.
Friday remains dry and sunny with afternoon highs climbing to 72 to 89 degrees. Excellent travel conditions are expected along Interstates 70, 81, 83, 95, 270, and 495, with no widespread weather-related disruptions anticipated.
By Saturday, temperatures warm further into the 76 to 90 degree range as southerly winds increase moisture across the region. That added humidity will bring a growing chance of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening, especially after the day’s peak heating. While widespread severe weather is not currently expected, lightning and locally heavy downpours could briefly interrupt outdoor events.
