Baltimore, Maryland – Thunderstorms could roll into Baltimore by early Monday afternoon, threatening commutes and outdoor plans across central Maryland.

According to the National Weather Service, a slight chance of rain begins before 8 a.m. Monday, with thunderstorms becoming more likely after 2 p.m. Skies will stay mostly cloudy as temperatures reach a high near 81°F, with calm winds becoming southeast around 5 mph. Though rain totals are expected to be modest, drivers on I-95, I-83, and the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) should remain alert to sudden downpours and slick road conditions.

Monday night brings a heightened chance of severe weather, with thunderstorms possible after 2 a.m. leading into early Tuesday. The region could experience heavy rain and isolated lightning, especially during overnight hours. Residents are advised to secure loose items outdoors, charge mobile devices, and monitor weather alerts.

By Tuesday, showers and possible thunderstorms will continue until about 2 p.m., with a 70% chance of rain, making it the wettest day of the week. Tuesday’s high climbs to 86°F, offering a muggy preview of summer.

The week trends drier from Wednesday through Friday, with sunny skies and highs near 89–92°F. Lows remain mild in the low 70s. Saturday brings another chance of thunderstorms, but timing remains uncertain.
