Maryland Shooting Claims Two Lives, Injures Two in Cecil County

Elkton, MD – Maryland State Police are investigating a shooting early Saturday in Cecil County that left two dead and injured two others.

Police have identified one of the deceased as Tamir Rasheek Davis, 26, from New Castle, Delaware. Hospital personnel at Christiana Hospital pronounced Davis dead. Authorities have yet to identify the second victim, and an autopsy will determine the cause and manner of death for both deceased individuals.

Two other victims are receiving treatment at separate hospitals. One is at Union Hospital in Elkton, while the other is at Christiana Hospital. Police are withholding their identities as the investigation continues.

Maryland State Police responded around 6 a.m. Thursday after receiving reports of a man down on the roadway. The State Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Criminal Enforcement Division.

The investigation remains ongoing.
