Washington County, MD – Authorities are asking residents across the Hagerstown area and Washington County to watch for a 74-year-old Pennsylvania man whose vehicle was seen traveling south into Maryland on Sunday.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Gregory Alfred Kilpatrick was last known to be at his home on Slippery Hill Road in Shade Gap, Pennsylvania. He was last contacted by phone at approximately 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, and is believed to have left his residence around that time.
Investigators said Kilpatrick was reportedly traveling toward Park Hall Road in Rohrersville, Maryland. His vehicle was later confirmed traveling southbound on Interstate 81 at the Pennsylvania-Maryland state line at approximately 11:06 a.m.
Officials said there is concern for Kilpatrick’s welfare.
Kilpatrick is described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing approximately 165 pounds. His clothing was unknown when the notice was issued, though authorities said he is often seen wearing blue jeans.
He is believed to be driving a gold 1989 Chevrolet El Camino with Pennsylvania registration ZNT9955.
The Sheriff’s Office has not released details about why officials are concerned for his welfare or whether there are any known medical issues.
Anyone who sees Kilpatrick, spots the vehicle, or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office or local law enforcement immediately.
Drivers traveling along Interstate 81, particularly near Hagerstown and the Pennsylvania state line, are encouraged to remain alert for the distinctive older-model gold El Camino.
