Marquette, MI – The first weekend of November will stay cool, breezy, and unsettled across Upper Michigan, with lake effect rain and snow showers lingering today before another system brings rain Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service in Marquette.
Forecasters say rain and snow showers will continue through Saturday, especially near Lake Superior and at higher elevations where brief snow mixing is possible. Highs today will range from 40°F to 45°F, with lows tonight in the mid-20s to low 30s.
Sunday will bring breezy conditions and a few overnight rain showers, with temperatures climbing slightly into the mid to upper 40s. Winds will gust up to 25 mph at times as the next weather system moves through.
By Monday, rain chances will decrease through the morning, with afternoon clearing expected from west to east. Highs will rise into the 50°F to 55°F range for a milder start to the new week.
Forecasters expect calmer and drier weather by Tuesday as temperatures moderate across the Upper Peninsula.
