Man Killed in Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar Shooting and Hit-and-Run in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh, PA – Pittsburgh police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred about 10:30 p.m last night in the Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood.

An adult male was found dead after being shot and struck by a vehicle, according to the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. Officers were dispatched to Wiltise Street following reports of possible gunfire and found the victim lying in the street with gunshot wounds to the chest and leg. Witnesses told investigators a passing vehicle then hit the man.

Officers attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has yet to be released. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death.

The Mobile Crime Unit is collecting evidence as detectives are canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance footage. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified.
