
Gardiner, ME – A suspicious voicemail led to the temporary closure of a MaineGeneral Gardiner medical facility Wednesday morning.
An adult male contacted the outpatient center, located at 5 Central Maine Crossing, and left a voicemail expressing frustration and concerns about the staff. According to Maine State Police, the comments raised alarm and prompted facility officials to act out of caution.
Law enforcement was contacted, and the facility voluntarily closed for the day while the situation was assessed. Later that morning, the caller voluntarily checked himself into a nearby hospital for evaluation.
Police confirmed the situation remains under investigation, and there are no ongoing safety concerns. No further information has been released at this time.
