Macomb Township, MI – A high-speed crash involving three vehicles on Hall Road sent a local driver to the hospital in critical condition Thursday afternoon.

According to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 2:38 p.m. near the intersection of Hall and Heydenreich Roads. Deputies reported that a white Chevy Bolt, driven by a 37-year-old Shelby Township man, was speeding westbound when it struck the passenger side of a turning Ford Taurus sedan. The collision forced the Taurus into a white SUV.

The Taurus driver, a 55-year-old Macomb Township man, was critically injured and transported to a hospital. The Bolt’s driver and his Uber passenger sustained minor injuries and were also taken to a hospital. The SUV’s driver was unharmed.

Deputies stated that alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The investigation is ongoing.
