Macomb Township, MI – A single-vehicle crash in Macomb Township on Friday afternoon left a juvenile in critical condition. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident near the intersection of 21 Mile Road and Tilch Road at approximately 12:51 p.m.
Authorities report that a Ford F-150 pickup truck left the roadway on the north side of 21 Mile and drove down an embankment. The unrestrained juvenile passenger sustained critical injuries and was first taken to an area hospital before being transferred to Children’s Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle also suffered injuries but is expected to survive. Emergency responders transported the driver to a local hospital, where medical professionals are treating him for non-life-threatening injuries.
