Lowell, IN – A 26-year-old man from Wannatah, Indiana, died in an accident on Tuesday afternoon in Lowell. Zachary Brown was identified by his family after an investigation on the 8500 block of Lancer Street.
According to the Lake County Coroner’s Office, Brown sustained crushing injuries. Officials declared his death as accidental after an autopsy conducted on Wednesday at the Lake County Forensic Center in Crown Point. His time of death was confirmed at 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Lowell Police Department, Lowell Fire Department, and Tri-Creek EMS were dispatched to the scene. The Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration (IOSHA) is also involved in the investigation.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident. More details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
