Louisville, KY – Rain is set to return to the Louisville area Thursday afternoon, bringing wet conditions and possible travel delays.
According to the National Weather Service, showers will begin after 1 p.m. with increasing clouds and a high near 51°F. Rainfall could total between a quarter and half an inch. Showers will continue overnight, with a low around 45°F and southeast winds at 6-9 mph.
Friday will remain cloudy with lingering showers in the morning, but drier conditions are expected by the afternoon. Highs will reach 62°F, with wind gusts up to 21 mph.
Looking ahead, the weekend brings a mix of sun and clouds. Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 50°F, while Sunday will warm up to 61°F with partly sunny skies.
