Louisville, KY – Central Kentucky and southern Indiana brace for another muggy day with showers and thunderstorms anticipated this afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service in Louisville, Kentucky, warns that some storms may be severe, with gusty winds and localized flash flooding as the primary threats.

According to the US National Weather Service, a few strong storms could hit the area, with muggy conditions persisting until tonight. The forecast calls for scattered to numerous showers today, with temperatures ranging from 79 to 83 degrees. Tonight, the low is expected to drop to 59 to 66 degrees, with a 70% chance of storms continuing.

Thursday promises a shift towards drier weather, with highs between 80 and 85 degrees. Friday and Saturday will see mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid-70s to low-80s, and lows between 54 and 62 degrees. A slight chance of showers returns on Saturday.

Residents are advised to remain cautious of potential flash flooding and strong winds today and tonight.
