Mount Hermon, LA – A 53-year-old Mount Hermon woman died in a three-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Washington Parish. The collision occurred on LA Hwy 10 near Oak Tree Road, shortly before 4:30 p.m.

According to the Louisiana State Police, Rose Tate was driving a Nissan Altima eastbound when she lost control. Tate’s car crossed into the westbound lane, striking a Toyota RAV4, which then collided with a Toyota Sienna. The crash investigation is ongoing.

Tate, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained fatal injuries at the scene. A passenger in the Altima and the RAV4 driver, both unrestrained, suffered moderate injuries and were hospitalized. The driver of the Sienna was uninjured.

Authorities urge all motorists to wear seatbelts, which significantly reduce injury risk in crashes. Toxicology reports are pending for all drivers involved.

Louisiana State Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
