Shreveport, Louisiana – Scattered thunderstorms and sizzling heat could disrupt travel and outdoor plans across Caddo Parish starting Friday afternoon, as temperatures climb back into the low 90s. Drivers on I-20 through Shreveport should plan for reduced visibility and wet roads from brief downpours after 1 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, Friday’s weather includes partly cloudy skies with isolated showers and storms possible after midday. Southwest winds around 5 mph and temperatures nearing 91°F will add to the sticky conditions. Rain chances hold near 40%, with storms possibly continuing into Friday night.

Saturday brings more of the same: mid-90s heat and a humid breeze, followed by scattered evening storms. Showers are more likely after midnight Saturday, with rain chances peaking again on Sunday. Thunderstorms remain a risk both Sunday and Monday, especially in the afternoon hours.

High humidity combined with limited wind will increase discomfort outdoors. Residents are urged to hydrate often, avoid peak heat between 1–5 p.m., and secure outdoor items ahead of any storms. Flash flooding is not expected but cannot be ruled out in low-lying areas.

Storm activity tapers slightly by Tuesday, but daily shower chances and cloudy skies continue into midweek. Additional advisories may be issued if rain chances increase.
