Shreveport, Louisiana – Storms are brewing in northwest Louisiana this Tuesday, with Shreveport residents facing a 30% chance of severe thunderstorms by early afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 8:00 a.m. CDT for Caddo, Bossier, and Webster Parishes. After the watch expires, isolated showers could still develop into stronger storms as the day heats up. Wind gusts may reach 25 mph, especially in open areas along I-20.
Rain chances peak before 7 a.m. but continue sporadically into midday, followed by clearing skies and a high near 90°F. South winds shift northwest in the evening, calming down to 5-10 mph. By Tuesday night, skies turn clear with lows dipping near 62°F.
Wednesday marks the return of early summer conditions. Expect partly cloudy skies in the morning, then sunshine and highs near 91°F. Light southeast winds will keep conditions tolerable despite rising heat.
