Lake Charles, LA – Frosty conditions and clear skies are expected across Lake Charles this weekend, with a shift to rainy weather anticipated by midweek, including on Christmas Day. Residents should prepare for patchy frost Saturday night as temperatures dip into the mid-30s.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday night’s low is forecasted to be 35°F with clear skies and light northeast winds. Sunday will bring sunshine and a high near 59°F, while Sunday night temperatures will drop to 41°F under mostly clear skies.

As the new week begins, Monday will remain sunny, with highs climbing to 69°F, offering mild and pleasant conditions. However, changes arrive Tuesday when a slight chance of showers develops in the afternoon. Rain chances will increase significantly by Tuesday night, with a 50% likelihood of rain and a low of 57°F.

The most notable weather shift will occur on Christmas Day, with thunderstorms likely. Highs will reach 71°F, and rain may disrupt holiday travel plans. Residents are urged to monitor weather updates and exercise caution on roadways, particularly during potential storms.

The five-day forecast suggests conditions will clear again by Wednesday evening, but more rain chances could follow later in the week. Residents are encouraged to protect sensitive plants from frost and plan ahead for holiday disruptions caused by wet weather.
