Omaha, NE – Nebraska is in for a mild and pleasant Christmas week, with temperatures climbing well above seasonal averages.

The National Weather Service predicts Sunday’s high will reach 50°F under mostly sunny skies, offering perfect conditions for outdoor plans. Overnight, temperatures will cool to 31°F with increasing cloud cover. Monday will bring similar weather, with highs around 47°F and light winds adding to the unseasonable warmth.

Christmas Day is expected to continue the trend of mild weather, with partly sunny skies and a high of 44°F. Southeast winds will remain light, ensuring favorable conditions for holiday travelers across Omaha and surrounding areas.

The dry weather is forecast to persist through midweek, but a slight chance of rain may develop late Wednesday into Thursday. With temperatures remaining in the 40s, roads should remain clear of snow or ice, making travel for holiday gatherings easier.

Residents should stay updated on weather changes later in the week as rain could affect post-Christmas plans. For now, the outlook offers a much-needed break from winter’s chill.
