Shreveport, LA – Louisiana is on high alert as the remnants of Hurricane Beryl move through the region today, bringing the threat of severe storms. The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued warnings for tornadoes and damaging winds as the storm system advances.

According to the NWS Shreveport, the severe weather is expected to begin this morning and persist through the afternoon across the Four State Region. The onset of storms will vary by zone: Zone 1, including Shreveport, should prepare for severe weather between 9 AM and 11 AM. Zone 2, covering areas like Monroe, will likely experience storms from 10 AM to 12 PM. Zone 3, further north, including El Dorado, should expect storms from 1 PM to 2 PM.

Forecasters predict that temperatures in Shreveport will rise to the mid-80s, with a 100% chance of rain throughout the day. The risk of tornadoes and damaging winds is significant, and residents are urged to stay updated on weather alerts and take necessary precautions.

As the week progresses, the weather in Shreveport is expected to improve. Tuesday will see scattered showers with a 50% chance of rain and highs in the upper 80s. By Wednesday, sunny skies will return, and temperatures will climb to the low 90s, continuing to rise into the mid-90s by the weekend.
