Shreveport, LA – Strong northwest winds will continue to buffet Louisiana, east Texas, southwest Arkansas, and southeast Oklahoma through Wednesday evening, according to the National Weather Service offices in Shreveport and Lake Charles.
A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. CDT Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, with sustained winds of 15–25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph expected across much of the ArkLaTex region — including Shreveport, Texarkana, Natchitoches, and Lake Charles.
Forecasters warn that loose outdoor objects could be blown around, and tree limbs or power lines may fall, causing isolated outages. Travel will be difficult for high-profile vehicles, and boaters on area lakes and rivers are urged to use caution due to choppy conditions.
Winds are expected to gradually ease after sunset Wednesday as cooler, drier air settles over the region.
