Los Angeles, CA – The Bridge Fire has forced expanded evacuation orders as it continues to burn across Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties, scorching more than 50,000 acres. With containment still at 0%, authorities are urging residents in evacuation zones to leave immediately.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Governor Gavin Newsom has secured a Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) from FEMA to help local firefighters battle the growing blaze. Shelters have opened at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster and Pomona Fairplex to assist those displaced by the fire. Pets are also allowed at designated sites.

Authorities recommend that evacuees bring essential items such as prescription medications, important documents, and hygiene supplies. As dry conditions and strong winds continue to fuel the fire, residents are encouraged to stay informed of evacuation updates and road closures through the county’s emergency website at lacounty.gov/emergency.

For residents outside the evacuation zones, officials advise remaining vigilant, preparing emergency kits, and monitoring local news for potential evacuation warnings as the fire is expected to spread further. First responders remain focused on containment, but the situation remains dangerous.
