Lombard, Ill. — On Monday, June 16, the Village of Lombard announced the winners of the “Through My Lens: Lombard” photo contest. The contest was open to Lombard residents and visitors from May 2 to May 31. Participants were asked to submit candid photos that represent everyday life in Lombard, Illinois. The contest requested a focus on people and experiences that make the Lombard community special.
More than 60 entries were submitted to “Through My Lens: Lombard.” The Community Relations Committee reviewed the entries and selected the three top entries for first, second and third place. Winners will receive certificates of recognition and Visa gift cards in the amount of $100, $50 and $25, respectively. The winning photos are posted on the Village of Lombard website, displayed at Village Hall and will be featured in the next edition of the E-Pride Newsletter.
Ashley Veldman received first place for her photo “Dinner for Three at Babcock’s.” Second place went to Radhika Shah for “Love in the Park,” and Lisa Rivers earned third place for her photo “Red Tulips and Little Girl.”
“Thank you to everyone who submitted photos for this year’s contest,” said Trustee Jessie Hammersmith, chair of the Community Relations Committee, in the press release. “These photos truly captured how everyday moments and connections between people help make our community such a great place to live and visit.”
