Lockport, IL — The Lockport Police Department will close its office on Monday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. This closure allows staff to honor and recognize the sacrifices made by U.S. veterans.
If residents encounter an emergency during this time, they are urged to dial 911 for immediate assistance. For non-emergency matters, the department recommends calling 815-838-2131 to reach available personnel who can address specific inquiries or concerns. The department’s temporary closure applies only to in-office operations, while patrol and emergency services will continue uninterrupted.
Veterans Day, observed each Nov. 11, commemorates the end of World War I and honors all U.S. military veterans. Community members and officials across Lockport are expected to participate in various commemorative events throughout the day.
