Crete-Monee Instructor arrested on Felony charges after altercation with Student

MONEE – A JROTC instructor at Crete-Monee High School has been arrested on felony charges after an altercation with a student September 1st.

Dallas Bibbs was arrested and charged with a felony after alleged aggravated battery charge which was related to an incident that occurred between Mr. Bibbs and a student on September 1, 2022. 

Crete-Monee School District 201-U released a statement following Bibbs arrest.

“Please know that we take this situation very seriously. We are working closely with the Crete Police Department as law enforcement officers conduct their investigation. Mr. Bibbs has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of our internal  investigation.”

“Due to the ongoing investigation, we cannot share further details at this time. However, what we can share is that the safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority. We appreciate the individuals who spoke up and alerted the proper authorities to this situation.”
