JOLIET, Ill. – A 20-year-old man, Tyler Gallo of Willow Springs, was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident late Friday night.

Gallo, a father of one, was riding northbound on Northeast Frontage Road when he collided with a Ford Edge turning onto Pandola Avenue. He was thrown from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at Ascension St Joseph Medical Center due to multiple blunt force injuries sustained during the wreck.

Gallo’s fiancée, Grace Antoniazzi, has started a GoFundMe campaign to cover the funeral expenses. As of Monday afternoon, the campaign has raised $8,705 of its $15,000 goal.

“His soul was so optimistic, funny, and most of all kind. He always put others first. He was a hard worker and provided for his two babies Carter Cameron and I. We had so many plans that just got taken away too early,” Antoniazzi said.

The accident also injured two female passengers in the Ford Edge, with one sustaining life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford Edge and another male passenger were uninjured.

Joliet police are still investigating the cause of the accident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department.

The tragic loss of Tyler Gallo has left his family and loved ones devastated. The campaign to cover his funeral expenses is one way the community can come together to support his family during this difficult time.
