MUNSTER, IN – Chaos erupted in a Jewel Grocery Store parking lot on September 16, when officers responded to reports of two masked men attempting car break-ins.
According to Munster Police Reports, as officers arrived, a pulse-pounding foot chase ensued. Police managed to subdue the first assailant, unmasking a concealed firearm in the process. But when officers faced off with the second suspect, a juvenile, they reportedly arrested him while he brandished a weapon.
While identities of both suspects have not been released, both now face serious charges. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the threats our officers tackle, especially when minors are involved.
