Kankakee, IL – Since opening for business at their new location in Kankakee, 5 Star Wings located at 125 West Station Street continues to see ongoing business. Business owner, Troy Clark, started cooking out of his home before selling his meals out of a food truck in Kankakee. His business has now been opened for four years.
“A lot of people have been coming in and supporting us. I am thankful and blessed. I’m from this community and for this community. I believe me doing this is inspiring other people. I’ve already seen a couple of restaurants who are just starting up in Kankakee,” said business owner Troy Clark.
5 Star Wings was previously located at 559 East Court Street with not much seating room to dine-in. The new location on Station Street can now hold up to five dozen people with an upstairs and a downstairs dining area.
“The space is better. We’ve even seen some new customers come in,” said business owner Troy Clark.
Mayor Wells-Armstrong is set to host the next “Mingle with the Mayor” at the new 5 Star Wings location on Saturday, March 28, 2020 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. where the community is invited to ask questions, share ideas, as well as concerns in the City of Kankakee.
“We are happy to still have them be a part of the community and I would like to show my support to 5 Star Wings by hosting ‘Mingle with the Mayor’ at their location. I would like to congratulate Mr. Clark on expanding his business,” said Mayor Wells-Armstrong.
