WATSEKA – A Crescent City man has died after his car reportedly rear ended a semi in Ford County.
According to Illinois State Police the crash happened Saturday morning when a car driven by Ryan R. Rippe, 38 of Crescent City, was headed southbound following the semi. He allegedly hit the semi, went through the median, and finally came to a stop in the northbound lanes.
Rippe was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash.
