Bowling Alley Burglary: Thieves Steal Cash with Sledgehammer, Drill

COUNTRYSIDE, IL – Thieves made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from a bowling alley early last week.

According to Countryside police, the brazen burglary at Rolling Lanes, located at 6301 Joliet Road, employed unconventional methods to carry out the audacious crime.

It began in the early hours last Monday, when the victim, remotely monitoring the surveillance cameras from home, witnessed the unfolding drama and promptly alerted the police. Responding officers arrived at the scene to find the front door forcibly breached, confirming the severity of the situation.

Surveillance footage later showcased three individuals, concealed by dark hooded sweatshirts, utilizing a sledgehammer and drill to systematically break into the gaming machines. The destructive act resulted in substantial damage and an undisclosed amount of cash stolen.

With their ill-gotten gains in hand, the perpetrators swiftly made their escape from the premises, leaving authorities with limited leads on their identities and whereabouts.

The brazen nature of the crime has rattled local residents and business owners, who are now concerned about the security of their community. The Countryside Police Department is urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
