Lisle, IL – Residents in Lisle will soon be able to take advantage of the village’s annual spring branch collection program, with pickups beginning the week of Monday, April 27.

According to the Village of Lisle Public Works Department, the free seasonal service is available to all single-family homes within village limits in DuPage County, part of the Chicago metro area. Collection will rotate by area over a three-week period.

The schedule is as follows: areas south of Maple Avenue will be serviced the week of April 27, areas north of the BNSF train tracks will be picked up the week of May 4, and central areas between Maple Avenue and the tracks will follow the week of May 11.

Officials say residents must place bundled branches in the parkway by 7 a.m. on Monday of their designated collection week. Bundles must be tied with natural twine or rope—plastic or metal materials are not allowed.

Each bundle must not exceed 3 feet by 3 feet by 5 feet in size or weigh more than 50 pounds. Individual branches must be no more than 8 inches in diameter and 5 feet in length. Bundles should be placed neatly near the street with cut ends facing outward.

The program is designed to help residents dispose of yard waste safely and efficiently during peak spring cleanup season.

Residents with questions are encouraged to contact Lisle Public Works for additional details.
