Pittsburgh, PA – Residents across western Pennsylvania should prepare for another frigid night, with temperatures dropping to 13°F and a chance of light snow showers. Untreated roads and sidewalks may turn icy, posing hazards for pedestrians and drivers alike.

According to the National Weather Service, scattered flurries will continue through the evening, followed by snow showers between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. Total accumulation is expected to be less than half an inch. While snowfall will be minimal, freezing temperatures could make travel conditions slippery overnight.

Friday will bring some relief as skies clear and temperatures climb to a high of 23°F. Winds from the west will range from 6 to 8 mph, adding a slight chill to the air. By Friday night, conditions will improve further, with lows around 8°F and calm winds creating a quieter start to the weekend.

Looking ahead, Saturday’s high of 32°F will feel noticeably warmer, with light southern winds at 6-13 mph. A slight chance of snow returns Saturday night, but it will clear by Sunday, with temperatures peaking at 32°F. Monday is expected to be sunny and warmer, with a high of 34°F offering a brief respite from January’s chill.

Residents should remain cautious tonight, especially on untreated surfaces. Keep an eye on weather updates for potential changes and plan weekend outdoor activities for Saturday afternoon or Monday’s sunny skies.
