Tulsa, OK – The US National Weather Service in Tulsa reports that a narrow band of wintry precipitation — including light rain, snow, and sleet — is developing early this morning between Highway 412 and Interstate 40.
As of 4:19 a.m., surface temperatures in this corridor remain just above freezing, but forecasters note that could change over the next few hours, potentially leading to slick travel conditions near and north of I-40 by sunrise.
The Weather Service says little to no accumulation is expected through 6 a.m., but isolated slippery spots may develop, especially on bridges and overpasses if surface temps fall below freezing.
Residents are advised to monitor the latest weather updates and use caution while driving in areas where precipitation appears wet or snowy.
