Libertyville, IL – Missing Teen Reported Friday After School Event

Libertyville officers say no foul play suspected but search remains active

Libertyville, IL – Police in Libertyville are searching for a 14-year-old boy reported missing Friday morning, after he did not return home from a school event the previous evening. Officers say the teen, identified as Andrew Cvetanovski, was last seen Thursday night near Libertyville High School.

According to the Libertyville Police Department, the report was filed at approximately 10 a.m. Friday, November 21, after Andrew failed to come home following an event at the high school, located at 708 W. Park Ave. Officers immediately opened a missing-person investigation.

Police say foul play is not suspected at this time. Cvetanovski was last seen walking southbound on Dawes Ave. on foot. He was reportedly wearing a red, white and blue jacket, blue jeans and blue gym shoes, and may have been carrying a green gym bag. Photos were attached to the police release.
