Lee County, FL – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has issued an urgent scam alert following reports of scammers impersonating its representatives. Victims have reported being contacted by individuals claiming to be from the Sheriff’s Office, attempting to solicit money. Authorities emphasize that the Lee County Sheriff’s Office will never request money or sensitive information over the phone or via electronic means.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the fraud line at 239-258-3292. These scams are noted to be common crimes of opportunity.
