Lavaca, Arkansas – Arkansas State Police are investigating a bank robbery in Lavaca after a suspect fled Thursday afternoon.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Special Agents with the Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a robbery reported around 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at the First National Bank of Fort Smith branch located in Lavaca.

Authorities said an individual allegedly entered the bank and committed the robbery before leaving the scene. No additional details about injuries or the amount taken were immediately released.
