Lake Forest Police Arrest Suspect in Route 41 Hit-and-Run Incident

Lake Forest, IL – Authorities have arrested a man in connection with a hit-and-run accident on Route 41 that occurred on June 3, resulting in personal injuries.

According to the Lake Forest Police Department, the accident happened around 9:00 a.m. near Southbound Route 41, north of Gage Lane. A black Infiniti sedan left the roadway and rolled into trees, trapping two occupants inside. They were extricated and transported to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital with moderate injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing a green Dodge Ram pickup truck, driven recklessly, striking the Infiniti multiple times. The vehicle’s registration led police to identify Thomas Walker as the suspect. Walker, with an extensive criminal history, was arrested and charged with multiple felonies, including leaving the scene of an accident and aggravated battery. He remains in custody at Lake County Jail.

The investigation was aided by video evidence and the cooperation of multiple law enforcement agencies.
