Highland, IN – Traffic delays are expected in Lake County this Sunday due to the annual Victory for Veterans Memorial Ride. The police-escorted procession will cover 27 miles, including Route 30, causing delays of up to 45 minutes.
According to organizers, the ride will depart from Wicker Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m. and affect local traffic through 1:00 p.m. The event, marking its 25th anniversary, will feature veteran vendors, entertainment, and food. Registration costs $25 for single riders and $40 for couples.
The route will travel across Ridge Road, Calumet Avenue, and Route 30. Proceeds will support homeless veterans. Commemorative t-shirts and pins will be available to the first 3,500 participants.
Police encourage drivers to use alternate routes during the event.
