Lake County, IN – There will be overnight lane closures on both eastbound and westbound I-94 between Indy Blvd/U.S. 41 and Kennedy Ave starting the evening of Monday, August 5. The closures will last through the morning of Friday, August 9. Traffic patterns will change during the overnight hours from approximately 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, crews will be installing prismatic reflectors during this period. Motorists should be prepared for significant delays and are advised to plan alternate routes to avoid the affected areas.
The closure aims to improve road safety and visibility with the installation of these reflectors. Indiana Department of Transportation officials have emphasized the importance of this project in enhancing nighttime driving conditions along this stretch of I-94.
