
Lake County, IL – The Lake County Health Department is hosting a free health and wellness fair in Zion. The event will take place Tuesday, October 22, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Health Department’s Zion Health Center. The event aims to promote routine care and offer resources for individuals at risk of hepatitis C.
According to the Lake County Health Department, participants can receive free hepatitis A and B vaccines and HIV screenings. Educational information will also be provided about sexually transmitted infections (STIs), pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).
This event is a partnership with the Need2Know Lake County program, which works to reduce the incidence of infectious diseases. The program provides confidential screenings and education on hepatitis, HIV, and other STIs.
